My Husband and I lost our beloved Syberian Husky due to cancer. He was died on the table during his operation at the vet clinic, one day before Valentines day, one day before his 10th Birthday. We were deeply saddened and hurting losing him (our baby). He was a good dog, a charming one. That day, my husband and I thought, we would never get another dog....until Trixie, a Pekingese came along.

"I talk to him when I'm lonesome like,
and I'm sure he understands.
When he looks at me so attentively,
and gently licks my hands;
Then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes,
but I never say naught thereat,
For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes,
but never a friend like that!"
and I'm sure he understands.
